The official site’s news section had broken news that Nana-chan will go on “新・食わず嫌い王決定戦” (Shin Kuwazu Kirai Ou Ketteisen) game corner on Fuji TV. This game show has a long running history and is a quirky mix of talk show combined with a game element. The idea of the show is to invite two celebrities to a head to head show down where they have to eat 4 dishes each – 3 of which would be the celebrities’ favourite food while 1 is their least favourite – and they would have to try to fool each other by pretending to like them all, while at the same time have to guess which food the opponent doesn’t like. In between the eating bits though, the celebrities would also be interviewed by the two hosts of the show in a small talk during a nights out dinner sort of way. You can get a very good idea of what it is like just by quickly going to the tubes and search for videos of it. It’s one of those very cliche wacky Japanese game show thing but this one is quite entertaining without being over the top stupid, and with no exaggeration, nearly every famous celebrities and idols in Japan has appeared on this show some time in their career. Even football star David Beckham had a go at it against famous Japanese singer Utada Hikaru.

Anyway, the Nanatards are already LOL-ing at this news because all Nanatards knows that it’s 99% going to be tomatoes for her least favourite food, and Nana-chan is completely unable to hide her distaste for tomatoes, even before actually eating them. An in a cute way, I think she always nearly breaks down into tears after eating tomatoes as punishment when losing to games in her own shows. On the other hand we can also expect to see curry making an appearance as her favourite. People are also wondering who would the other celebrity be.

The show with Nana-chan as guest will be on air on the 17th of June.
