Hmm, I wonder what the success rate of these seiyuu-to-singer conversions are. Probably not that high.
I heard that Hyo-Sei is going to release an album soon. She’s done some singing for eroge as well, but I wonder what possessed her to go commercial. There’s a lot of investment needed and very little chance of a good pay-off, right?

Even if the songs aren’t too good fans will still buy the Seiyuu’s cds.

A bit more information on two other seiyuu-to-singer debuts:
Hyo-Sei’s first album is slated for release on April 21, 2010, named “冬花火” or “Fuyu Hanabi.” A vid recently emerged of her singing entitled “Moonlight singing.”
In related news, Shizuka Itou, a compatriot of Hyo-Sei’s in the eroge voice business, is also going to release an album specifically for her own singing and not related to an anime/eroge series. It’s titled “Devotion” and a promo vid for it was released recently.
I wonder if the webmasters here will review these two up-and-comers soon.
