Windows 7 mascot Madobe Nanami making her singer debut?
There is an unconfirmed rumor stating that multiple store staff in Akiba’s computer stores hinted that a new limited edition OEM release of Windows 7 coming out this Friday (13th March) will see an original gift containing an original character song by one of the several Windows 7 moe mascot Madobe Nanami, voiced by none other than our beloved Nana-chan. The special OEM set is said to be limited to 77,777 copies. This is still a rumor though, so I’ll probably keep an eye on various Akiba news sites and blogs to see whether this is true or not, and if true, I suspect that the special CD would make its round on the intertubes very soon just like the previous omake CD containing the original Madobe Nanami themepack.
Madobe Nanami is a mascot created by the Windows 7 Mania Jimousho (the real name is Techno Alliance K.K) to promote Windows 7 amongst OEM builders. It’s currently not officially recognised by Microsoft.
EDIT: The link seems to have been 404′ed. So it might just be the rumor is unfound afterall.
