Shinai PV
I uploaded my version without the letterbox – just because I can.
An acoustic version of this song will rock, maybe they’ll do one in the next concert tour. For the upcoming one, they need to get Agematsu Mika to come back and make epicness like last time.
I still haven’t seriously watched White Album, probably never will either.

All of this animosity with White Album that I’ve been seeing in the anime blogging community has been quite staggering. I don’t understand it, or maybe I do — it’s because Hirano is in it, isn’t it? Hey, I know we can’t watch and/or give a chance to every single new anime, but we’re all fans of Nana, she is featured in what is supposedly a high-profile show; I’m just taken aback by all the poo-flinging-negativity.

I really haven’t seen anyone saying they are not watching White Album because of Hirano Aya, on the contrary I’ve seen way more people at the beginning of the seaon saying they *will* watch it because of her. Thus far what I have seen most of the time are people criticizing the show as boring and slow paced – that’s two completely different issues. So I don’t know why you’re bringing Hirano Aya into the picture here.

Shin Ai is a very nice song but too bad the anime is a bit too slow paced for everyone to enjoy.

I’ve only listened it once, but I can tell that I was more hooked with Heart Shaped Chant in the first listen. In this one, I really like Agematsu Mika’s performance, but the song seems like disjointed to me, like kinda boring in some places, with a weak chorus. But I’m looking forward to like it more with time.

i am not really hooked on to shin ai after i listened to it for the first time.
but i love the setting of this pv, of nana performing in an empty concert hall together with the one playing the harp. reminds me of heart-shaped chant though…
i hope the other 2 songs of this single would be nice. havent been adding her recent songs into my ipod recently…

Having listened to the remaining two tracks, I’d say that track 2 is fairly so-so, but that’s because I’m not a big fan of bombastic dance beats, but that track 3 was able to attract my attention because of its mellow vibes. Overally, I’d rate this album as worthy of a listen even if she doesn’t do anything innovative or overly creative here. It’s the same old Nana Mizuki style of singing that we’ve come to know and love.
