Mizuki Nana’s “DISCOTHEQUE” PV
Someone must have poked around King Record’s server to get this off them - since the official release is not suppose to be till tomorrow night.
I actually quite like this song and PV. The whole throw back to 80’s disco thing tickles my fancy. It’s probably a sign that I’m getting old and weak when nostalogia for campy stuff that reminds me of some fuzzy childhood memory which sits somewhere in the under-utilized part of my brain which may or may not even be true is enough for me to swallow it hook line and sinker. So shake those booties and let’s party like it’s 1985 baby!
Highlight of this PV: the scissoring V-sign gesture over the mouth during the Chu-ru-chu-ru bits, VERY CUTE.

I’m on the fence for this one… Or rather there’s a part of me that says I shouldn’t enjoy it as much as my other part of me does XD

I think the song feels too much like it was made strictly for the Rosario anime. The singles from the first series were too, I guess, but I liked them a lot more. This isn’t bad though. It will probably grow on me.

I really liked the video and I think it was something similar to Cosmic Love/Astrogation, one being funny and cute and the other (trickster) being cool and stylish. One of the reasons I enjoy Nana so much is definetly her flexibility, and in that field she didn’t dissapoint me. I specially like the segment between 2:45 and 3:45 of the song. As for the video, it was just what the song needed. If I had to criticize something (we always have to), I thought that the big pink lips all over the place were kinda stupid, and it could have had (I don’t even know if this is grammatically correct, sorry for my english) a better ending. Looking forward to a live performance of this song (as well as astrogation and trickster)

Definitely a retro-ish feel but overall not too bad; definitley something different from the norm (if there is such thing concerning Nana-chan slew of PVs). Personally of the two PVs we seen for the new single, I’m leaning towards Trickster as my fav…
… although for some reason DISCOTHEQUE has been stuck in my head all day after seeing the PV. Need to rewatch Trickster’s to balance things out LOL

I like Trickster PV more although DISCOTHEQUE PV is cute. Somehow, Trickster just got me to more than DISCOTHEQUE

Interesting to find that the responses here all prefer Trickster to DISCOTHEQUE lol
>I thought that the big pink lips all over the place were kinda stupid
They echo the famous(?) かぶっチュー scene of the anime :p

I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing. If the songs are suppose to be an op/ed of an anime, I’d much prefer the songs to at least have the anime in mind, rather than a generic J-pop tie-up that just sort of uses each other instead of compliment each other. Anisongs should be anisongs afterall.

I think the stupid is part of what conveys the retro-ness of it. The reason the nostalogia tingles is exactly because it’s got that stupid 80s feel to it. Old stuff usually always look stupid by current standards. So if it doesn’t look stupid, they are probably doing it wrong. :P

The PV adds a lot of points to the song, mainly because Nana-chan is so inviting in this one. I think I watch the PV more than actually listening to the song. :P

Best part of these videos is the costume choices. They’re not retarded! Imagine that! They don’t have to try to make her punk or fetishy or anything, she just looks good and they’re happy with that. Black and white ftw! :P

Nice costumes but for some reason the songs do not leave much of an impression on me(I prefer Trickster) but I guess I got to listen some more times to see whether they grow on me

I actually love this PV and the song! Nana’s gestures are too cute.

This song definitely sticks in my head more than trickster, the video is cute =D but i like fast songs, so both are equally good to me , dosen’t matter as long as its sung by her

I personally feel that Trinity Cross is the best song in the Trickster CD XD
