Man arrested for threatening to kill Mizuki Nana and her fans

I’m sure most of you will know about the recent Akiba stabbing incident, in which it was widly reported that the offender had announced his plans to commit the crime on the infamous Japanese BBS 2ch several weeks before the incident. There has been a number of half-copycats after the incident – “half” because people are posting announcements but without actually carrying it through/or was arrested before they could carry it through (thank goodness!). And now one of the latest incident took an interesting seiyuu twist.

According to the report, a 21 year old man had posted the following message on 2ch with his mobile phone:

「お前ら安心しろ。水樹奈々と水樹信者はダガーナイフと2t(トン)トラックを使って、俺が代々木で皆殺しにしてやるからよ」

Roughly translating to “You guys don’t worry about it. I’m going to use a dagger and a 2t truck and kill Mizuki Nana and all her rabid fans at Yoyogi”.

Why Yoyogi? Well that’s because Mizuki Nana is going to hold her Live Fighter Concert at Yoyogi this weekend, and it’s anticipated that there will be at least 15,000 Mizuki Nana fans there.

The man confessed his crime. His reason? He just wanted to see the reaction.

It’s seriously sickening to know there are people like that in the world, who just write asinine crap like that just to stir people up. Tasteless and disgraceful.

  7. Julius Firefocht Says:

Touch Nana Mizuki and feel the wrath of the Nana-con Legions worldwide. The culprit would wish he had never been born by the time we are done with him….

Yeah right, tell him to start talking when he’s got his hands on an AK47 or a Tommy Gun.

Otherwise stop talking abt owning the world with a knife.

  13. danie~ Says:

Aren’t we glad Japan is so strict with gun laws? And the fact that most of the posters are attention seekers.

If this guy wants faster response, he might as well announce this at Yoyogi yesterday. He will make the headline anyway, like “Copycat slaughtered by rabid fans” -_-

  14. JK Says:

Yeah. In fact the closest thing possible that one could get there are BB guns.

But attention seekers or not, it is good that the Police took action even on that posting in the light of the Akihabara Tragedy. There are postings with bad taste, there are postings that simply don’t make sense and there are postings that simply ought to be clamped down by the authorities.

There are just so many things in the world which u can make a joke out of, especially when it comes to the possibility of copycat murders.

  15. Ronin Says:

Simply an idiot. An attention-seeker who wants his face in infamy. :\

Yeah, good thing the police took action. Who knows what could have happened if they didn’t

I had a good laugh when i saw this =D . Not against Mizuki Nana or anything (in fact im her fan) but i really would like to see her reaction if she ever comes across this guy’s post ahaha

  19. houkoholic Says:

    > Azure

Actually she mentioned it during her concert, she almost broke down and cried.

While the guy have claimed he did it just to get a raise from the reaction of the people *after* he got his ass arrested, it’s safe to say it’s completely different when you’re on the receiving end of such stuff and not knowing whether the person who said such things were serious or not in the first place.

  20. Lil Donkey Says:

‘Actually she mentioned it during her concert, she almost broke down and cried.’

The guy needs to hide really well afterwards if he values his life. Hm.

  21. Tsukushi Asuka Says:

What, he’s trying to take on Bardiche Assault with a measly knife?

Either he’s some dimensional sword saint or plain delusional.

  22. inakiken Says:

Well, I did join the concert and the security of the concert seems to be improved.
I did wrote a comment for the concert in chinese if you are interested you can look thought my website and I think I will be translating that into english but i think it will take me quite some times…….

anyway, I am happy to know more Nana’s fans, feel free to drop me an email or just add me in your MSN if possible.

Give guy the chair! THE CHAIR!

  24. Demon Eyes Says:

Dear Ray, please hand the chair to me.

I shall put it to really good use, I promise you!

The anger I feel towards this guy can’t be measured by reality means.

How dare he even think it.

[...] Mizuki Nana and Chihara Minori both recieved death threats this year which made it to headline news. While they both seem to turn out to be nothing more than pathetic pranks when the police caught the ones responsible, it is still disturbing that people would use such things for fun, especially for the fact that they seem to be inspired by the tragic incident in Akiba. 26. Freya Says:

Wow minori too! I didn’t hear about that one. How sad that someone was stupid enough to do such a thing.
