Animelo 2008 Tickets

There’s been a fair amount of interest in this year’s Animelo Summer Live with people expressing desire to go to it. So we’re feeling a bit generous at seiyuu3 today and have decided to lend a hand in getting tickets for those of you actually making the trip over.
Now depending on the demand we may only be able to get tickets for a select few of you. So hope you’re one of the lucky ones!
If you want us to try to get tickets for you send us an email to seiyuu3 (at) gmail (dot) com and tell us what you want to do at Animelo. Also make sure you include the following:
Full name
Email address
Which day you want to go to
Date of arrival in Japan
Country you’re coming from
Now we’re doing this of our free time and energy and we don’t have a lot to spare. So if you’re not sure, don’t ask for one. Everyone else can express their futile desire in the comments. :P
That said, we’ll try our best to accomodate everyone.
Deculture!

I express my futile desire for a ticket. But I have no money and besides, I’m going to Tokyo next week -_- Maybe next year - and I’m serious about that, so hopefully you’ll be making this offer in 2009 too :P

Um, actually how hard is it to get an Animelo ticket? I’ve settled my flights and all, and I have someone in Japan to buy me tickets, but I’m not sure whether he can get them or not (we’re planning to buy 4 tickets). How about the seat arrangement? I’m ready for yahoo auction anytime..

Well, you should be fine in that case. The ticketing systems here can be a bit hard to navigate. (Lots of hoops to jump) But if you have someone who’s done it before it shouldn’t be that difficult. We’re not planning to get them on auction that’s for sure.
Usually there’s no choice for seating for these type of events. You get what they give you. The key is to get in early.

That’s really generous of you guys to go out of your way to buy tickets for those who have no means to acquire them. Although I would ask you to purchase a few for me, but I’ve already arranged something with my travel agent to acquire tickets.

@sent
That’s my concern, since this guy didn’t even know what Animelo is before last month, but he did go to few other concerts. So we’ll just have to keep calling them when the general sale is opened or what? And what did you mean by ‘get in early’..? Is it pre-arranged seats or we gotta fight for our seats? O_o;; might result in a lot of blood if so, lol.
Sorry for asking too many questions~ xD

No, most tickets are sold via electronic machines you can access at a convenience store. They also have online e-ticketing services as well. What I mean is that for an event like Animelo, they won’t have any tiering for the seating. Every seat is one price and it’ll depend on how lucky you are whether you get seats close to the stage or elsewhere. It’s not completely random, if you buy a few together you’ll get seats side-by-side.
What I mean by getting in early is that there’s a better chance of getting seats closer to the stage. That said, I don’t expect it to be sold out on the first day or anything close to that. Tickets don’t go on general sale until June 21st so there’s still plenty of time to get things sorted out.

Adun: mind if I ask who’s your travel agent?

Argh~ Its a pity I can’t go this year. All my annual leave allocation had been busted.
Kinda hope to attend a Yukarin concert next year though. :D

All right, thanks for the info! Maybe we can meet before the concert (if we get the tickets, lol)~

@omo: My travel agent is called Pitt Travel who specialise in people wanting to visit Japan. A friend of mine suggested we ask the travel agent for help in acquiring tickets because some travel agents can help you organise bookings for events for a small fee. But the travel agent I deal with said he’ll do it for free :) I’ll just have to remind him closer to the date of when tickets go on sale.
