I approve of the lazy man’s method of posting (I know I’ve done this a few times myself)!
I like Yukarin and all, and the samples you posted look really cute, but man… I still can’t get over how big her ears are! It’s not proportional to rest of her head I tells you! *runs away before Yukarin fans tar and feather him*

I still can’t believe she’s 31. :)

Is she really 31? I can’t believe it!

@ Jabawock
Yes she is technically 31, but she’s also forever 17. ;)

Wow that is incredibly cute. I was expecting mostly goth-loli heavy stuff from Yukarin. It seems like a nice change though since we already get plenty of that kind from HM3. I wonder is she going with a more natural look with this photo book or are you just choosing the pages more selectively?

@ paranda
90% of the photos are like that, bringing in a lolita wardrobe to Hawaii is not exactly practical. (The location of the photo album was Hawaii).
BTW, I think most of what Yukarin wears should be considered sweet lolita - due to the emphasis on cute and bright pastel colours. Goth-loli are mostly just blacks and “dark”. She does wear some of the goth ones occasionally, most noticably for some of her heavier songs like she was singing Black Cherry in her concerts.

She may be 31, but she will always be 17 in my heart.
Yukarin for the win!

Thanks for sharing this. The cover of that book rocks hard. She looks good in static pictures. I always look forward to her album/single covers and magazine stuff.
But seeing her in motion is always a downer. For example, anime DVD interviews. Maybe its the ears, maybe its the uncanny valley smile. Hey hey! IMHO.
BTW, I subscribed to your blog via j1mOne.

Ah! I’m initially wondering what kind of photobook to expect, now I know!
Glad to had made the pre-order via the Kinokuniya branch! :D
As for her ears well, it add emphasis to her whole face and her eyes…. There’s something in her eyes that will simply add a smile regardless how bad a day u have.

I was a little disappointed with this photo book because of its lack of Yukarin in lolita clothes but it was good nonetheless. Some of them bring out the more older side of her but she still looks like she is only in her 20s in some of them. I was surprised I got it the day of release from Amazon.
Really looking forward to getting her upcoming DVD in December.
