Yukarin’s “Sincerely Dears…” – a bargain buy for new fans
Yukarin released her best album “Sincerely Dears…” yesterday and I just got around to picking it up. The CD cost a little more than a standard CD at 3,500yen but the volume and contents more than makes up for the extra 500yen.
The package comes in a cardboard box with the CD disc and bonus DVD in individual cardboard sleeves, a lyrics booklet for the songs on the CD, another booklet for the DVD, and finally a 34 page photo album of Yukarin moe taken in Hawaii. The CD itself is pretty standard fair with 11 select songs from her singles plus a new track titled “YOURS EVER” coming to a total of 12 tracks. But the bonus DVD is where the real meat is as it contains 70mins of footage from Yukarin’s 2006 concert tour “fancy baby doll” recorded in widescreen with linear PCM sound, so even though the DVD is a “bonus” the production of it did not take a cut. What’s more a lot of the songs from that concert are not on the CD itself, and with Yukarin being an excellent live performer, this whole package gives the buyer a fairly complete view of what Yukarin is capable of as a seiyuu artist. For people just beginning to take an interest in Yukarin, this album is a great buy. I highly recommend it.
