Hirano Aya really rocks it!
平野綾 Hirano Aya, has been impressing me in all sorts of ways since the beginning of the phenomenon that is 涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. However, it wasn’t until after watching Episode 12 that I was really blown away by her vocal ability. The short is, Hirano Aya rocks!
A feature of Episode 12 is a short live session during a school festival where Haruhi and Yuki fill in for two injured band members for ENOZ (a parody of ZONE). This short encapsulated section was a great way to slip in two insert songs which will no doubt become hits for Hirano Aya. The band plays two songs with Haruhi on vocal and Yuki on lead guitar. The first song 「God knows…」 is an instant hit. Aya’s vocal talent is just perfect for this brand of J-rock. This fact is further exemplified in the second song 「Lost my music」.
To top it off, the animation and synchronisation in this scene is second to none. This is Kyoto Animation at it’s best rivalling their own high quality 30 frame-per-second ending animation of Hare Hare Yukai.
With the news that Aya along with Goto Yuko and Chihara Minori appearing at Animelo, I can only get excited with the hope that I’ll be able to hear Aya perform those two songs live as well as, of course, 「ハレ晴レユカイ」. In the meantime, I’ll have to be content with the CD 「涼宮ハルヒの詰合」 「Suzumiya Haruhi no Tsumeawase」which is out as of today, June 21. As a bonus you also get 「恋のミクル伝説」 「Koi no Mikuru Densetsu」by Goto Yuko. Get!

見事「角川ＨＤ Kadokawa holding company. 」の企業戦略を見抜いていますね。
ただ、平野綾, 後藤邑子.の「歌える声優」知名度アップにはなっても
ＧＰ説「涼宮ハルヒは、小説は面白くても（アニメ涼宮ハルヒ）は一過性のブームで終わる」には同感です。
基本的に、1910年代ＵＳＳＲ成立とともに日本で生まれた「共産党的文学＝プロレタリア文学」
１９２０年代「反共」のために作られた治安維持法によって生まれた「私小説」
１９９０年代、「私小説」が古典的になったので生まれた「ライトノベル」
２０００年代、谷川流が成功させた「私小説+ライトノベル」＝小説「涼宮ハルヒ」
でも、角川ＨＤ Kadokawa holding company が試みた「私小説のアニメ化」＝「アニメ涼宮ハルヒ」は失敗に終わると思います．必死にアニメの文法をはずして、努力していますが。。。
「ハレ晴レユカイ」が売れた理由も「音楽の文法を逸脱している」からなんです。
professonal musicianに言わせると、実は曲としての作り方がおかしいので、new trend musicとして注目を浴びたのです。
注目度は「ハレ晴れユカイ」＞＞「冒険でしょでしょ？」なのも、「冒険でしょでしょ？」が音楽の文法を逸脱していないからです。。。

現在、「アニメ涼宮ハルヒ」は日本で大人気ですね。 さらに外国もね。 でも僕にとってそれが普通のPOP文化だと思うよ。

この件に関しては、昨日Ｃｈｏｕさんと話しました。
*日本のアニメの文法をはずしているから。
*学園アニメでありながら、恋愛の要素がないこと。
*小説「涼宮ハルヒ」はよくできた私小説だが、アニメ「涼宮ハルヒ」は「見せる」ものがねた切れになっていること。
*ＧＡＭＥ「涼宮ハルヒ」の製作が不可能なこと。。。。
などなど。
Ｃｈｏｕさんの「和式」と「洋式」との考え方の違いで、「和式」の考え方では失敗に終わるでしょう。Evangelionのように。（「洋式」の考えでは受けたので、実写化までされるとか。。。）でも先ほどＧＰさんから電話があり、カナダの話を聞いていると、カナダでは女の子を中心に萌え上がっているとのこと。「洋式」の考え方では成功する可能性大。

I must admit, I was quite impressed with Hirano Aya in that particular episode. It totally took me by surprise. J-rock totally suited her voice ^^
But I’m also Asahina-biased. I wished she got more screen time (T T)

I would like to practise my Japanese with you by writing my response in Japanese but it is taking me some time. My apologies.
I will say that you have made some good points about 「涼宮ハルヒE憂鬱、Ewhich I would tend to agree with. However, I think from a 「洋式、Eview, it has the potential to be really popular because it is not like other anime.
You are right that the story does not make it easy to have extra spinoffs like games but I think if they are clever with some of the elements there is a potential to make an interesting game.
So far the novel conversion animes I have watch have tended to be more interesting than anime derived from manga. For example 「灼眼のシャナ、Ehas a very detailed world and is dialog heavy. Similarly, with 「政界E紋章、Eand 「政界E戦記、Ewhich are both also originally novels. I find the finer detail that are expressed in these stories to be far more appealing and enthralling.

Leena, I\’m sure Mikuru will have more screen time coming up. But Yuki is my facourite at the moment ^^
